I generally don't do reading (or other challenges) because I can get a bit obsessive. Also, I read for pleasure, not volume. Sam from Taking on a World of Words hosts a reading challenge called When Are You Reading? which asks the participants to read across time periods (the catagories being Pre 1200, 1300-1499, 1500-1699, 1700-1799, 1800-1899, 1900-1919, 1920-1939, 1940-1959, 1960-1979, 1980-1999, 2000-Present, The Future.) Fun! So I'm signing up for that. I'll have a think about what books to choose later.
Right now I've just finished a review book that I did not enjoy at all. Born For This by Caitlin Devlin. Great cover though:
I decided to read the next book in the Victoria Goodard series, since it's cosy and I knew i would love it. It's actually just a short story Féonie and the Islander Regalia. Then I'm going to dive in to my next review book, Better Days by Claire Zorn, another book with a fabulous cover.
This one is set in Australia, which is always a bonus.
And I JUST got approved for the Chalene Carr book We Rip The world Apart. I'll start it when i sit down to spin after work today. I've read a few of her books, and she often has that perfect mix of tension and relatability.
In knitting I've finished the body of my Traveler shell. It's short sleeved, so I've just got the buttonband and sleeve cuffs to go. Come back on Friday and hopefully I'll have modelled photos of it.
To read my all my book reviews, and to see everything I knit, you can find me on Ravelry as Sharondoubleknit and on GoodReads as Sharondblk.
I'm joining in with Kat from As Kat Knits for Unravelled Wednesday and Kat from the Bookdate for It's Monday, What Are You Reading. This week I'm also linking up with Sam from Taking on a World of Words for WWW Wednesday where we talk about what we are currently reading, what we have just finished and what we are going to read next.
