To celebrate we ran hill sprints. OK, it wasn't specifically to celebrate, it was what was programmed, but I do love hill sprints. Later we are going out for dinner, and I wouldn't be surprised if I got a present or two from Thread and Maple. If no-one gives it to me for my birthday I'm going to treat myself to a Kobo remote, so I can read without even moving my arms!
This week I've been finishing off Kobo Plus books, prior to my subscription finishing and I'm deep in women's fiction / romance land. I finished Reclaimed Baggage by Katie O'Rourke which was very good, and now I'm reading Delayed Intention by Barbara Rachel. It's a romance I'm not sure the plot makes any sense, and they spend a lot of time talking about their feelings and how they are unable to love or somesuch. Needless to say, I'm not loving it, and I might give it a rare DNF. It's frustrating, because it's nearly a good book.Next up I return to the review books and to sci-fi with Detour (Detour, #1) by Jeff Rake. It's the first of a series, and the rest haven't been published so I'm not sure why Sharon from June thought it was a good idea to request it, but it's next in the review queue, so I will be reading it.The knitting is going well, even if, having two projects on the go means it doesn't look very fast! I've got three ridges to go on Colour Craving before moving on to colour C:
And I'm not very far off joining for the body on Moby.
So it's all going well over here.To read my all my book reviews, and to see everything I knit, you can find me on Ravelry as Sharondoubleknit and on GoodReads as Sharondblk. I'm on BlueSky as Sharondblk.
I'm joining in with Kat from As Kat Knits for Unravelled Wednesday, Kat from the Bookdate for It's Monday, What Are You Reading and Sam from Taking on a World of Words for WWW Wednesday where we talk about what we are currently reading, what we have just finished and what we are going to read next.
