Not that this weekend's trip to the Australian Sheep and Wool show has anything to do with this post, but I am very excited about it.
I finished A Beautiful Family by Jennifer Trevelyan a couple of days ago. It was very good, and genuinely made me tense! I've followed it up with The Last Letter of Rachel Ellsworth by Barbara O'Neal
Barbara O'Neil is an autorequest for me, partly because I like her writing, and partly because many of her books are locked into Kindle Unlimited, and as a Kobo reader I can't get them from there. So I started this - so far so good. Family drama, and I am here for it.In audio I finished Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. I don't know how I got this far in my life without having read it, or seen the musical or a movie or something. The plot was quite a surprise to me! I loved it. now I'm listening to Medicus by Ruth Downie which is the first of a series of detective novels set in Roman Britain. Sam who hosts the WWW linkup recommended it. It's quite light for a book about sex worker slaves getting murdered, and was free on Audible until the end of the month.
I also don't know what I'm going to listen to or eye read next. I've got a break in the reviewing schedule, so maybe I'll try to get something from the library. I feel like some sci-fi or fantasy - recommendations welcome. And finally in knitting, I've started my handspun hoodie. I'm pretty happy with how it's going so far:
The beginnings of the body and one arm done. I should have quite a lot of knitting time of the weekend and I'm really happy with how this is going. It feels really soft and nice.
And that's my week in reading and knitting. To read my all my book reviews, and to see everything I knit, you can find me on Ravelry as Sharondoubleknit and on GoodReads as Sharondblk. I'm on BlueSky as Sharondblk.
I'm joining in with Kat from As Kat Knits for Unravelled Wednesday, Kat from the Bookdate for It's Monday, What Are You Reading and Sam from Taking on a World of Words for WWW Wednesday where we talk about what we are currently reading, what we have just finished and what we are going to read next.
